Overall this is a great desk. I bought it for its looks, and use it primarily for gaming (so I don't use the optional keyboard tray, although without it the desk doesn't look as elegant). The main glass panel is large and heavy, so be careful installing it. My unit unfortunately came with a couple dents in the back of the righ support frame, but no one will ever notice that. The glass tempered, and the main panel has black sides which look just great. Assembly is very simple, although the optional monitor stand can be a pain to perfectly align. I wanted the desk to look as perfect as possible, so I may have spent an extra 15 minutes getting that straight. Also, the rear frame piece looks a little cheaper than the rest of the metal parts; some welds there have ugly openings that suggest it was quickly and carelessly done. All of the screws were nicely labeled, and an allen wrench was included. If you are going to be using the keyboard tray, you will need a Phillips screwdriver too. Z-Line's customer support was excellent, and are very willing to replace parts if missing/damaged.

I find the line of products to be well designed and of good quality, sadly the desk has some serious issues with the monitor stand/keyboard tray. I found the two of them not working together well, if one was the right height to be comfortable the other was too low or too high. Being someone who works at his computer for numerous hours a day I found the desk uncomfortable to use.

Try it out in the store, but even that didn't adequately present just how uncomfortable it would be to sit in for long periods of time.

This deck is the best desk i ever had when you put togther the desk u no it made nice if very easy to make take about a hour by yourself with someone like 30 mins i use this product for my puter and my 360 very spacesous

When I first saw this at Staples I was struck by what appeared to be a modern, classy design. It is.

If you don't plan on moving it around the house or moving out of your house this might be good for you.

The problem, like so many of these products is that it comes in a million pieces. I had no problem finding the parts or figuring out how to put it together...it was just time consuming and is best done with two people.

The simplist way to explain the main difficulty is that the way it is designed, once you have put it together, YOU CANNOT PICK IT UP BY THE TOP EDGES OF THE TABLE AND MOVE IT. If you do, you risk breaking the entire assembly. You can slide it a short distance, especially if it is on a carpet but I would not move it into the next room.

A month after getting the desk I had to move unexpectedly. I called the company and yes, they confirmed that the entire assembly had to be taken apart to move it. They confirmed that it is not designed to hold its weight from the top. (When you see the design you will understand.) It was difficult to find boxses for it. I had to wrap it up the various glass pieces in moving blankets. As I may have to move again I have not set it up and am trying to sell it.

Again, if you don't plan on moving it room to room or plan on a major move, it is a nice desk and works well. The manufacturer is very helpful.

This desk gives you all you need for your computer and extra space too. I was a perfect solution to a limited space plus it is nice to look at. The fact that it has an elevated shelf for the monitor increases my desk space.
