I gave this 4 stars because I feel it is a good deal for the money. I can't vouch for it's sturdiness but it seems sturdy enough new.

While I plan to use it partly for files, I also bought this because of the locking drawer. I have camera equipment that I will be putting in the locked drawer, only because it is so expensive and I don't want my youngest granddaughter getting into it or my oldest granddaughter for that matter. The drawer is not a tight close when it is locked as it should be. A metal plate on the back of the upper part of the cabinet where the lock protrudes would correct this, but it should be good enough for my purposes.

Assembly was not as simple as I hoped and I doubt that anyone could put this together in 45 minutes unless that they had already assembled one or two of these before. It took me 90 minutes to assemble only the two drawers. I did not view the included video which tells you how to assemble it since I had experience assembling such furniture some time ago but if I did perhaps that would have helped. I don't know how much time it could have saved me - depends on the time it takes to watch the video.

I used the supplied glue to assemble one drawer but there did not seem to be enough glue for the entire project so I switched to using some super glue I had on hand. You might want to make sure you have extra glue on hand and if you don't use it you can return it. Also, I suggest that you make sure that the small dowels are inserted completely when you are initially gluing them as instructed. If you leave them sticking out too far and the glue sets up before you finish the assembly you could end up damaging the top when you attach it and tighten it down. The manufacturer was smart enough that they included a parts pack titled 'extra parts'. So if something is missing in the main parts package chances are it will be in the extra parts pack. Good thing because my main parts package was missing one dowel.
