One came out of the box with a scratched and dented desk top, though the box was in good shape. One smelled like rotting fish, and the smell did not go away despite cleaning the desk thoroughly. Had a hassle about returning it, too.

I purchased this to match other furniture in my quilting studio. My husband constructed this with some ease. Having a tower computer, I had to purchase a tower holder for the floor because the tower took up too much space. Be aware! If you plan to put your printer on this desk, it will jiggle when you print things. For stability my husband has added 2 legs made from lengths of 2x4's under the left size of the large drawer. My printer is a scanner/copier/printer, so perhaps if you have a smaller printer it would be fine.
