I don't know where all these reviews are coming from, but take them with "a grain of salt", if you know what i mean. At first glance,pretty nice. The first problem is the "hollow tubing" that this unit is made of. As you tighten the bolts that hold the sides together, the tubing starts to crush inward because there is NO sleeve inside the tubing. So,after a couple of weeks of use, you have to tighten them again. After a while, the sides look "crushed" from having to do this often. Also, if you have any kind of chair with arms, forget about it fitting under the keyboard shelf, so now your chair is in the middle of the floor. When typing, you are far away from the screen. No wire management makes this desk look messy. Pass on this one.

I love this desk. Holds 2 printers on the top 2 shelves, PC/UPS/modem/router/trash can on the bottom. Phone, scanner, lcd monitor on the desk top, with room for papers, stapler, etc. Everything fits well and makes a very easy convenient comfortable workspace. I love the clear glass and black metal frame, has a neat, light, airy look. I like being able to move my entire worstation, slides easily on the floor, all together as 1 unit.
This morning, the 2nd shelf (holding a small laser printer, bit heavy?) spontaneously shattered, I will need to replace the glass.
I'm concerned, but I still LOVE the desk.

Love that it can be set up with shelves on either side. My application I needed them on the opposite side as the instructions gave. Didn't take anything to figure it backwards from what was shown

Hi Folks,This Z-Line glass/metal desk is very aesthetically pleasing--do not be fooled by the image. I also have a tv stand made by Z-Line and both products are very well made using good quality materials. the setup was a breeze; at least would have been if I didn't reverse the book-shelf from left to right. It is completely possible to do this, just read the instructions first and visualize what you must be before doing it, that helped me.the metal frame is very light weight and almost feels cheap and flimsy, but once you complete the unit the unit, it comes well together. Follow all instructions properly for 100% satisfaction.Overall, I highly recommend this desk b/c of it is great for mid/small room sizes, aesthetics and functionality. As for cons, I only wish the desk had a drawer or maybe two small drawers to conceal little things, cable management, you can see from my picture that wires are everywhere. That's my two cents, go buy the desk, it's a great price at staples [...]

Clear-enough assembly instructions. Easily assembled by myself after "helper" was shooed off to other activities. All parts labeled well & in perfect condition. Really appreciate the hardware being individually bagged and labeled. The Onyx desk is very sturdy considering its open & light design. No wobbles or creeks. Perfect fit in my den/guest room. Would look sharp with a mesh back desk chair. I would certainly buy one again. [...]

Well. This desk is one of the best on the market. The price could’n t be better. Very stylish, breezy look, does not take a lot of space. Looks modern; not like other wood-made bulky desks. I put my desktop and printer on it and I can easily access all the USB ports and other slots in my PC in case i need it. Pretty strong. The glass surface looks awesome. I wish it was a bit darker but not a big deal. Buy it if you like modern design and good quality.
