Q: I wish to place my cpu tower on the left side as shown in the picture, but from what I have read it seems that the cd rack gets in the way of the tower. Can the cd rack or the silver bars be ommited? Asked on 2/4/2011 by Marr17 from Ontario,CA Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Solution: The front column can be relocated towards the back on the left side. This leaves plenty of room for the tower without the column/cd rack in the way. But a hole needs to be made on the bottom panel where the new position of the column will reside. Answered on 2/18/2011 by Marr17 from Ontario,CA A: Yes, you can leave the rack off the desk. The problem is for computers that are not slimline cases, the CD drive can't open because the CD rack is in the way. For shorter computers, they could fit on the right side of the desk on the bottom shelf. Answered on 2/15/2011 by Dan from Hillsborough, NJ A: Yes, I believe you can omit the CD rack, but what I did instead was angle the cpu about 15 degrees and it works out fine.
