I had the whole filing cabinet almost assembled when I found out the bottom to the filing cabinet drawer was not going to fit. I'd constructed it exactly as directed just to find out the drawer bottom was bigger than the space I had for the drawer bottom to fit in. I since then ordered a cabinet that was already assembled. I would have paid extra to Staples to have had the cabinet pre-assembled but did not see that as an option available to me.

I missed the "assemble" part of the description. I thought it was going to come put together. It's still sitting on my floor waiting to become a filing cabinet. Still working on the instructions.

The file cabinet looks amazing! I'm really glad about this purchase! The drawers are great, strong, the appearance of the cabinet is really something else.The front and top are definitely wood, the back probably not, but it doesn't affect the whole look. The only con I can think of is that it's hard to assemble. When I received it I was sure I had to call a firm to come and assemble the cabinet for me - it took them (2 professionals) about 15/20 min.

This cabinet is very srurdy and heavy. I was unhappy with the color which looks more like walnut than Oak - and the two cabinets don't quite match, either.

Bought for my study at home. A very nice piece of furniture. It is solid and looks better, and darker, at home than it does in the store under those bright lights. It took maybe 1.5 hours and some extra wood glue to assemble it. I would have bought the wider unit for more storage, except it is 22 inches deep and I didn't want it that far from my wall. I will go with two of these smaller 18 inch deep units instead.
