In hindsight, I should have bought all pieces to create the "L" shape as I think it would be more sturdy. I only bought one of the desks and it is a bit wobbley. With that said, it is still exceptionally attractive and rich looking and I am happy with the desk. There is a lot of space to spread out papers, have your keyboard, mouse, monitor, lamp, etc. The CPU (if you have a PC) will have to go on the floor as there is not specific holder or spot for it. It looks much more expensive than it was. I will say it was not fun putting together at all (as a woman) and if you can get someone to do it for you or to help you with it, I would do that. Make sure you use your own Allen wrench as the one provided is very small and was tedious to use. After I spent 3 hours putting it together, I felt like I should have received an honorary engineering degree!! If you can afford it and have the patience to put it together, I would recommend you get all 3 pieces. If not, the one is fine and beautiful but just know it is a tad bit unstable.

It is a simple and stylish desk. I like the openness of the design which still makes my room look roomier. Perfectly matches my dark furniture. Instructions were very clear to assemble. I assembled it alone so it took a little while. Not very difficult to assemble if you have another helper towards the end. Instructions says it as well to get someone's help when handling the glass top but I did it alone by strategically placing glass on the bed to get the support. Every thing aligned properly. Needed little extra effort only for one of the corner screws. BTW got it on sale.

I returned the table beause of the scratches and dents due to very poor packaging. It looks really nice and elegant. Staples left the box outside our door. While box was closed, parts were moving inside and when openned, lots of scratches and dings in the wooden parts. They were noticeable in all sides. So it had to go and wouldn't take a chance to buy another because it took more than 2 hours of my life opening the thing, half way assembling, then putting back together and taking it to staples store just to come out even and get my money back.

Q:
I see that, under 'Specifications', this product is also made from particle board which is not mentioned in the product description which only states 'wood and wood veneers.'
What type of particle board is used, tropical-mix wood particleboard or rubber-wood particleboard?
Also, what percentage of this desk is made from particle board?
(This could account for the flimsy nature and difficulty with installin the screws some reviewers mention.)
I like the style of the desk, but need more information before I decide whether or not to purchase.
