    • Q:

I recently bought this pencil and ran out of lead. I purchased some Foray .5mm refillable lead but it will not load into the pencil properly. I made sure that the lead in the Foray was in fact .5mm by comparing it to some .7mm lead. The lead is loaded properly into the pencil, but it seems to be too big for the metal tip. What should I do to resolve this issue?

      • A:

Contact the company who made the pencil and see if they have special lead they use for their pencils. If it is just a issue with the pencil then have them send you a new one.

    • Q:

Does Staples sell the erasers for this pencil? I couldn't find them. They are much smaller diameter than the ones I have for the Pentel Clicker mechanical pencils.

That is not an item that we currently carry.

    • Q:

How do I refill the pencil? When I put the lead in, it doesn't stay on point. It pops up and I can't write with it. If I could get it to work, I would be ordering them for the 10 or so lawyers I work with. Thank you for your time.

        A:

Please make sure that you are using .5mm lead and you are refilling it by removing the eraser and loading the lead through through the opening.

It sounds as though you're just at the end of that lead - this is the behavior I get all the time when in that situation. Pull the last of the piece of lead out from the tip at the bottom of the pencil. Pull the soft erase off the top of the pencil and drop a new lead through the small hole in the bottom of the eraser cup. Replace the eraser and click on the top of it until the lead feeds through. If you put too many new leads into the barrel at one time, they seem to jam and none of them will feed. Otherwise, these pencils seem to work great - I use them all the time.
