It is cheap... only costs about 1/3 of Pilot G2 pencil (@~[$] each)... you can't really complain much.It features a metal pen clip so it won't just break off like the Pilot G2. It is a great plus to keep it with a planner or a journal.However, due to the tip design the lead is really easy to break - you almost have to hold it at a near vertical angle to write smoothly.Pilot G2 or Cross pencil hold the fine 0.5mm lead with a thin, tube-like tip. Basically the lead is encapsulated with metal to protect it from breaking. The Zebra also has a small metal tip. However, it is hollow, cone shaped. It holds the lead only at the very tip point. That is, the fragile lead with no enforcement. You almost have to hold the pencil vertically while writing to prevent the lead breaking off. IMO it is a major design flaw.I don't buy G2 anymore because the pen clip breaks (and lose it)... Cross is heavy and the grip is not as comfortable... this one seems fix both problems but has a major flaw of its own.The world is never perfect.

When I first got these it seemed like a great deal. But that was soon realized to be false. So the first 2 pencils were great but on the third one I used (the first 2 I used up the erasers) the tip like wouldn't stay on. And being the typical high school student I am, I was in fact unprepared and only had one pencil for this day. So I go to Spanish class and have a Conjugation Quiz. And I already couldn't push down hard or the tip would fall off, so my writing was barely visible and... THE LEAD TIP and Lead BROKE. Oh dang. I erased and tried to put the tip back on, had to erase some more, tip broke off. Then "Time's Up" And I was like I'm not finished. "Really, because I just saw you erasing."

Not bad, the lead breaks a little easy but otherwise this pencil is good. Grip is good, metal clip does not break...ever. I use it every day for business and personal. My only real complaint is that I cannot find eraser refills.

How anyone can give this 5 stars is beyond me. Lead breaks every single time the pencil is used with the mechanically set lead length even with light pressure. One must constantly re-adjust the lead length to keep it short enough that the lead doesn't break. Focus should be on work NOT trying to keep your pencil working! Spend a little more and go with a better quality pencil. BTW the eraser is too long and thin and doesn't erase well.
