I, too, contacted the mfr. They sell this item as a "disposable" mechanical pencil, and do not offer replacement erasers (nor have I found any others that fit). Comfortable pencil, but too much hassle. Forget about them.

No replacement eraser can be bought.
When the eraser is gone (pretty soon)
the pencel must be thrown away.

I am always losing my pencils while doing diagrams for job estimates. These pencils were on sale at Staples, so I decided to try them out. I'm very impressed! They write smooth, bold, and dark like my pricey Uniball Jetstream pens - yet I can erase the marks! The lead is thick enough not to break yet the writing is sharp and clear. This pencil is on par with the expensive mechanical pencils for a much, much lower price.

They don't make replacement erasers for Z-grips! Once you use up the eraser the pencil is useless, as that's how you refill the lead. I even wrote to the company about this and got no response. I feel ripped off.
