The Zoom/Modem V.92 USB Mini Model 3090 is a compact, low-cost external modem that conforms to the new, higher performance ITU V.92 and V.44 standards. It connects to a Windows computer's Universal Serial Bus for the fastest and most convenient modem hookup yet! Using the included USB cable, just plug the Zoom/Modem V.92 USB Mini Model 3090 into your PC's USB port. You don't even have to shut down the computer. Configuration is automatic and without the potentialconflicts of an RS-232 serial port or an internal modem. The Model 3090 is powered through the USB port and does not require an external power supply. 7-year mfr. limited warranty.

I was looking for an alternative to getting a home fax machine. I already had a pc and scanner. With Windows 7 it works as a fax machine now without a monthly fee for an online service. It's slow, but for low volume and not having to go out for a fax machine, it works.

Installed on Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit. DOES NOT WORK. 1 hour on hold waiting for tech support still not tech support. Next day 3 hours on hold with Tech support and have yet to talk to a single person (thank god for speaker phone). All supposed support is online which doesn't work out too well if you are trying to install a product FOR THE INTERNET. (stuck typing this during lunch) Uninstalled and reinstalled downloaded newest software during lunch hour AGAIN. Still doesn't work. Returning to store and cancelling the internet service available in [*]..dialup.

I purchased the Zoom V.92 Fax Modem 2 years ago and I just found out that the drivers have been updated to Windows 7 but my drivers are now out of date.

  If you need to update your drivers to use your modem with Windows 7, all you have to do is go to the Zoom website to download the updated drivers, free of cost to you.

I have a HO officjet Pro 8600 which can allow digital faxes but I dont have a fax modem on CPU or a phone jack so I want to purchase this product of this reason. will this product allow me to be able to see digital fax or electronic faxes I should say.

  No, the Zoom V.92 USB External Fax Modem is designed for use on a computer and is not intended to be used on a printer. It most likely will fail to work in your setup. The HP Office Jet Pro 8600 has a fax/modem already built in.
