Q:
I have a HON 30" Wide, 4 Drawer Lateral File/Storage Cabinet (50-1/2"H x 30"W x 18"D) with no rear railing to hang the folders on in each of the 4 drawers. It has one divider in each drawer and the bottom two drawers have a screw going into a fitting that goes through a small square opening in the rear wall of the drawer about 8” from the right side. The other two drawers have the same holes, but no fittings or screws. The cabinet is 18” deep so the 15½” rails will not reach. It appears, at one time, something spanned the 30” width, about 12 inches from the front, and was tall enough so that files could be hung sideways. The "Front to Back Lateral File Rails" have nothing to attach themselves to, so I have the same question that was asked previously on 8/13/2009 by Jorie the Intern from Philadelphia, PA. Are these rails (#378072) the items I should purchase? They do not look like they would work by themselves.
