[...] batteries need very frequent replacement. Broke at less than 1 year. Company wanted almost the price of the can to repair it. Now we continue to use the pail, but it is not "touchless" and that was the point. I loved the idea of a bathroom pail that we didn't have to touch.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
