About this product
Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium delivers a smooth, durable painting ground with excellent adhesion and coverage, enhancing color vibrancy across a variety of surfaces.
Create a smooth, dependable foundation for painting with a primer that enhances both adhesion and color performance. The titanium white formula delivers strong coverage while drying to a matte, slightly textured surface that improves brush control and allows paint to apply evenly. Its non-yellowing properties help maintain true color over time, supporting consistent, long-lasting results. Built for versatility across projects, Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium works on surfaces such as canvas, wood, paper, and board, preparing them for acrylic, oil, or dry media. The flexible, quick-drying finish allows for efficient layering and reduces wait time between coats, making it a reliable choice for classrooms, studios, and large-scale creative work.
- Gesso primer ideal for preparing painting surfaces
- Water-based formula with easy cleanup
- Creates a smooth, even surface for improved paint adhesion
- Bright white base enhances color vibrancy and coverage
- Flexible, non-cracking film preserves artwork over time
