I can write for long periods of time clearly and cleanly without my hand cramping up, but the point wears down way too quickly (like within 10 days to 2 weeks), which makes these pens rather expensive. I buy them by the box.

Previous razor points were finer. Didn't notice this was also designated as "marker" pen. However, I still like it for reasons checked above.

I have used the Pilot black pens for 25 years to draw architectural sketches. They are predictable and made sharp lines. I'm glad they are still available.

My students use these pens to draw, outline, and especially to label maps. These pens don't bleed through paper the way some pens do, and they produce a very narrow and clear line. Each time students use them they always ask where they can purchase some. I use them for a variety of purposes when I need a quality effect.

As a teacher of English as a Second Language in community college, Pilot Razor Point pens have been my trusty companions over at least a fifteen year period. I use them to mark up students' papers with editorial comments. They work well for me, in these and other uses, including keeping accounts in my checkbook, writing personal cards and letters.
