I am a school teacher and I use these pens when taking notes or filling out documents. I need a ballpoint alternative, as they tend to smear and this does the trick. The only drawback is on lightweight paper they may bleed through if to linger too long.

General writing. Personal. Business. It's not as much fun to use as a fountain pen, but it's more reliable. And the ink is dark enough and thick enough to be easy to read. Priced so you don't mind giving them away.
None of those gloppy blobs you get with ball points.
