I have several of these bookcases against a long wall in my media room. They were extremely affordable and seem to be quite solid. They are, however, quite plain in appearance, and do look like what they are - affordable shelving. These are not ideal for use in a home, and are my "make-do" solution to book storage.

I use this product to display merchandise. It goes together well except for the cheap plastic cams that are supposed to tighten against screws. If you try to get a tight fit, you may just strip the cam.

The back piece comes folded into three, and is difficult to arrange evenly so that the sides get enough margin to nail down.

Some of the front finished edge fronts were rough. that are supposed to tighten against screws. If you try to get a tight fit, you may just strip the cam.

I have no idea how well the bookshelf works. What started out as a relatively simple afternoon project turned into a disaster.Before I even finished assembling it, one of the plastic cams snapped, splintering the shelf and knocking down the other shelves splintering them as well.
I called the toll free number and was told that the company didn't use metal cams because they wanted to make the product as cheaply as they could. I told her they had succeeded.
As for now, I await the arrival of new shelves and more cams. Frankly I'm worried that the whole thing will end up in the trash.
