This is a sturdy and reliable bookcase that can be folded up and stored easily when not used. But apparently there are differences between manufacturers, apparent to me when I tried to stack two units. One pair stacked well, and the pins matched up with holes to hold the stack firmly. The other pair must have been manufactured elsewhere, because the spacing of the holes didn't match the spacing of the pins, so I had to enlarge the holes with a drill before the units could be stacked. "Made in China."

These shelves are ready to go 5 seconds after you pull them out of the box. They are very sturdy and heavy. No fear of tipping or overloading with too much stuff.

This is a really nice bookcase. It's well made and I love the way it folds down for easy moving. It also looks great and is well built. It was purchased for my Mom when she downsized to a much smaller place. She loves it and has had visitors ask where they can get one.

We were very pleased with the quality and appearance of the bookshelf. It is sturdy enough to hold a lot off books in our granddaughter's bedroom. She is a college student and there will be lots of books and other items to put on those shelves.

I like the shelf, but I had to move it out of a bedroom because the fumes are overpowering. I don't know what the finish is, but the fumes it gives off are not consistent with the "eco-friendly" categorization of this shelf. I am disappointed, because I specifically passed up other products such as laminates in favor of this supposedly eco-friendly solid wood shelf, thinking that it would not adversely affect the indoor air quality. The shelf has been in the garage for two days. We are hoping that the smell will go away eventually. Frustrating . . . . I will say that my husband didn't pick up the smell initially; he had to smell it up close to detect the scent I picked up from 10 feet away.
