This is fine IF you never plan on copying on both sides of a sheet of paper! I am sorry I bought it...
Canon told me to use the bypass tray to copy on second side, but still jams, eats paper, and frustrates. :-( Canon says it wasn't made to be used to copy on both sides, why didn't they tell me that before I bought it.
I had a PSC140 and loved it, never gave me all these problems, but couldn't enlarge and reduce, so... here I am, with reams of wasted paper.
It gets confused easily, you cannot switch between sizes of paper for printing and copying easily, and then it tells you you are using the wrong paper, and you have to unplug it to let you copy again... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

We love the QUICK start up feature (instant warmup I think they call it). We dislike removing and putting back in of the paper tray holder ... it is plastic-where it hinges or sets- and it seems like one of these days we will break it, even though we are careful!I use ONE of the copiers on the road to the Horse Shows we manage. It has seen LOTS and LOTS of dust, and gets packed and unpacked into the original box each weekend for the past 2 years.We got 1540 copies out of the starter cartridge that the machine came with, plus probably another 500 copies when we figured out how to hook it up to the computer to use as a printer. So probably 2000 copies on that initial ink cartridge that comes with the machine.The replacement cartidge should get 3000 copies from what I recall when researching it. I believe I figured it cost 3 cents to make a copy back then also. The D320 "counts" each copy, and displays that number but does NOT count each time you send something from the printer.I bought a SECOND copier (same model) [...] ... am debating about sending it back because the guideline (metal) on the left of the glass is installed crooked, so when you put your original in, up close to it, your copy comes out crooked. I have been too busy to contact the company about this. Other than that, this copier is a JOY to have - reliable, quiet with QUICK start up time. It does NOT have an on/off switch, but we can live without it.My secretary loves it for printing off of her computer (I havent tried that yet).[...] :>)Canon also will recycle the used ink cartidge (postage paid) - so that makes us feel better about the Earth !This copier can sit on a TV folding tray table too - its big, but not too big. The output tray doesn't like to hold more than 10 copies so I don't know about that other fella's review on this website that is so negative ... it didnt make sense, because it can't hold 100 copies in the output tray !Well, I am cheap ... so for me to buy TWO of these, I'd have to say it was a THUMBS UP. THIS MACHINE IS TERRIBLE. THERE ARE MANY FUNCTIONS IN THE COMPUTER THAT ARE NOT EXPLAINED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN I CALLED CANON, THE TECH. ADMITTED THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE INCOMPLETE. IT SPITS THE COPY OUT PRINT SIDE DOWN. UNLESS YOU TURN EVERY COPY OVER TO CHECK, YOU DON'T KNOW IF IT HAS RUN OUT OF TONER. SO AFTER PRINTING OUT 100 COPIES, YOU FIND OUT THAT HALF HAVE A BLANK LINE GOING THROUGH THEM AND YOU HAVE WASTED ALL THAT PAPER. IT DOES HAVE A DOOR TO OPEN THAT ALLOWS THE COPY TO COME OUT FACE UP BUT THERE IS NO TRAY TO CATCH THE PAPER AND IT SPILLS ALL OVER THE FLOOR. I AM A VERY TECHNICAL PERSON. I DON'T UNDERSTAND MOST OF THE FUNCTIONS AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANTION IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. THE PAPER CAN ALSO JAM VERY EASILY AND IT IS A PAIN TO GET THE PAPER OUT. IF YOU USE DIFFERENT SIZE PAPER, IT IS A TASK TO ADJUST THE SETTING ON THE MACHINE. WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE A SIMPLE COPIER THAT IS EASY TO LOAD, ADJUST SETTINGS AND OPERATE. I RECOMMEND BUYING AN OLDER UNIT. THEIR TONER IS ALOT CHEAPER. I'M RETURNING THIS ONE!!!!!!!

I have always been satisfied with Canon products. I still use a Canon copier PC980 at home after many years of heavy duty and I would have ordered another but it was no longer being produced.

No sheet feeder, just right for us as a small business that copies single pages for dental records..we copy 20 pages a day max

Easy to use and can back up the laser printer on the network if needed..

Not for use if you copy a lot of sheets everyday.
