Our Fellowes PS70 has finally worn out after years of use. It has shred credit cards, CDs, receipts and cancelled checks back to 1971 when I finally cleaned out old paperwork. It seldom jammed unless the bin was packed full and could reverse to clear the jam as soon as the bin was emptied. It could take about 14 sheets at a time and shred them quickly. It stopped when it overheated after excessive use (hours) but then would be ready again after a brief rest. I'm getting another Fellowes shredder.

I like this shredder and so far, it's doing the job for me! It's a strip shredder, so if you want cross cuts, you should get the PS77, which is [$]more [I didn't want to spend any more money, so the strip shredder is fine with me.] I don't have any complaints about this machine and would buy it again. I don't do a massive amount of shredding -- maybe 5 - 10 pages a day, tops. I was more concerned with size and aesthetics, and I like that this fits under my desk, is efficient, and is fairly attractive as far as shredders go.

The only reason it did not receive all 5 stars is that it does not cross shred. I know there are some that do but they were not priced as good and it is only being used in my home where my childrens old school work and junk mail can really pile up.

I replaced a shredder that was only one year old with this one. The old was was noisy and jammed easily. This one is quiet and a hard worker. I'm cleaning out a LOT of old papers and it's almost fun to do it with this machine.
