I am disappointed in V-tech, I only paid the high price because V-Tech had always had good quality, but they blew it with this phone. I have to put a rubber band around the phone and base to keep it from falling out of the charging cradle, and the battery holds a charge about as long as my 8 year old Uniden.I do love the picture ID and the options to add ringtones or record your own ringtone. I used my Uniden phone to call and check my messages away from home, when it was set on toll saver I could call my house and if the machine picked up on 2 rings I knew I had a new message, but the V-Tech phone records a hangup as if you have a new message, so if you get 5 calls, and the caller hangs up as soon as the recorder answers, it will tell you that you have 5 new messages, it should not record a message until someone speaks.If V-Tech had paid as much attention to the small details as they did the added features they would have a great phone, [$] If you need a phone where it is important to check your messages away from home or you don't have the time to glue the handset to the charger base every time it needs charging, [$]buy a cheap 25.00 phone. Come on V-Tech pay attention to the important qualities because if the basic features wont work then all the added fancy features don't really matter.

This phone worked great for about 4 months after which it has been worthless. The system constantly drops calls. Often when I attempt to answer a call the remote handsets will lose the connection with the base station thus dropping the call. Though I have tried every suggested remedy by v-tech the problems continue. I will be replacing this product very soon. I cannot recommend this product in anyway.
