My MacBook Pro slides off this thing. I'm returning it. Why they didn't rubberize the surface is beyond me. Do not buy if your machine has a smooth bottom.I would not recommend it to a friend because all my friends have Macs.

Great support for my prime use 17" laptop and have used it with my 15" unit. Heat is dissipated fantastically and the position of the unit in ones lap is perfect. The Laptop does not slide around - once positioned it remains. When one is in an easy chair the keyboard is raised and comfortable to use.
