This is my fifth or sixth shredder, so I've seen a lot of these....

Most shredders barely work & give you the feeling that they aren't going to last. I've had more expensive shredders than this, stop recognizing paper.... or just sense phantom paper at random times and make a lot of noise suddenly.

This one has the autosense feature as well as an override, so you don't have to worry about the paper-sensing mechanism breaking.

Haven't had to clear a jam yet in the 6-9 months I've had it. I've been spoiled, so before seeing the "doesn't jam" checkbox for this review, I forgot that I did clear jams and/or the teeth of every previous shredder daily.

Still hums rather than screams when it shreds...

A winner!!

What I like about this shreddar is it passed the 30 day test and we don't have to return it. We needed a medium size for our admin dept and our staff loves this machine because it doesn't sound like a truck was trown off the empire state buidling.
