I have an older computer so I had a difficult time finding one that worked with my limited system.This really fit the bill! Even now as I'm ready to upgrade this will suit my purposes well. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles as some have funky apps, but, was really easy to set up and no learning curve! Install and use! Fast and easy- my 2 favorite things! Resaonabley priced as well.

I wasn't sure whether to go for the Logitech or Microsoft brand of web-cams. I had 3 reasons for picking this particular web-cam -- it has a great mounting system for putting it on a laptop (it "pinches" the top of the display housing), has a built-in microphone, and I had assumed that if it was a Microsoft product, it might have fewer potential software hiccups than another brand (though I've been wrong before). Another neat feature is the ability of the camera portion to swivel up & down, which is helpful with a laptop when adjusting the screen angle. Setup was easy, and the camera has worked flawlessly with Skype, which was its intended usage.
The camera is not perfect in low-light conditions, and is easily over-exposed if you sit in front of a window (with the camera pointed towards the window), but I didn't buy the camera expecting HD quality video.

This has been great to stay in contact with our daughter in California. It gives a very clear picture and sound. I wish it was a bit easier to attach to my laptop but I am getting the hang of it.

I just bought this web cam today, and I think it's a great camera for the money. The video has great quality, and the audio is good too (especially with the noise-canceling microphone). It's easy to attach to the top of a laptop, and the cord isn't too long. The only downside is that the software didn't download all the way the first few times I tried--it finally worked on the fourth try. But after that, setup was easy. Also, when I take the camera on and off the top of the screen to show other stuff, I keep hitting the Call button, but I guess that's OK. DSL makes the video choppy, but if you watch the video stream on the included software, it's very smooth. And it comes with fun effects you can add to the video, and you can zoom in digitally. I'm very pleased with it.
