Got this workhorse of a machine for[$]after an instant rebate and could not be happier. Fast, easy setup, quality faxing, printing, copies and scans. This machine can handle a small office environment even though I only use it for my home office. Brother customer service is also excellent, they are here in the USA and speak English!

Nice machine. Many features. Awesome LCD display with very helpful prompts. 11 x 17 capability. WiFi setup went smoothly. Just a couple of things to keep in mind before you order one. First, it's big, so you may want to go look at it before you order one sight unseen. It has to be big to handle 11 x 17, but just be sure it will fit where you want it to go. Second, like most modern printers in this price range, it has a kind of flimsy/fragile feel. I've only had it a short time, and I haven't actually broken anything yet, but it makes me queasy every time I lift the lid. You wouldn't want to put this in a busy office with a lot of people messing with it. Same deal with the paper tray. So.. if you can live with the size and be careful with it, I'd say go for it....

I mainly use this to print 11 x 13.5 publication proofs (on 11 x 17 paper). The quality and speed of the proofs are excellent. Even at the "fast normal" setting, the text is very readable. I have only tried scanning and copying a couple times (I have other scanners and copiers), but both functions seem to work well. I highly recommend this machine -- and the price is very reasonable, especially with a rebate (but it's a good buy even without the rebate).

I use this product to print drawings on 11x17 paper and do not feel the same printer in laser costing over a thousand $ would justify the cost, especially when I'm an occasional user. The bonus feature of being able to copy and scan 11x17 paper comes in handy. This printer is surprisingly quiet compare to other inkjet A4 printer that I've used. I do not foresee paper jam because it feeds so very smoothly. It's also goes into energy saving mode. The bulky size is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

paper feels 'damp' and sticks together alot even though you fan it - I love the wireless mode and fast quiet printing - its a good machine - just need to 'read' into and get use to the jams and how better to load the paper
