On most lapdesks, the underside cushion helps raise the surface to a useful level for both using a laptop and writing. While the surface material of this underside cushion is nice enough, it is barely filled - - almost not even there. Disappointing. Seems like the manufacturer sought to save a few pennies on the filler. [...]

Very nice product, esp. for the price. Well made and pretty. I like the wide table area, enough room for my mouse. It's quite comfortable, but may be a little heavy for some to use for a laptop desk. My wife says that with the combined weight of the desk and her laptop, she finds it uncomfortable after a while. I bought her a lighter weight plastic one at Staples for the same price.
