I bought this product because my ti-83 silver edition finally died. This is the next generation for ti and overall it is pretty good. My only complaints are the nspire keyboards cramped keyboard and the bulky design. The keys of the nspire keyboard have smaller raised letter between them to make it easier to type notes. This however makes it hard to type in a problem quickly. The design is a lttle childish, but the beautiful screen makes up for it. I also like the pretty print the surpasses the quality of the ti-89. Overall it is a great alternative to a ti-84 and I woul definetly recommend it!

I use this for my pre-calc class. It is so much better then the calcs we have at school. At school we have the ti 83's. This is compatible with them and the ti 84 keypad matched perfectly with it. So far every ti 84 app i have tried has worked with it. I am glad i decided to purchase this one.

This is a great calculator if you are willing to spend some time learning how to work it. There really aren't any guides on the Internet and the instruction manuals don't really do any good. So you will more than likely learn how to use it by playing around. Another small problem is that the nspire keypad has no programs to download and TI is keeping this calc locked up so no games can be made, as of yet. Otherwise this is a great calculator and it has alot of great features built into it. This was also my first graphing calculator and with the easy-to-use design interface it is easy to get the hang of. If you need a graphing calculator or a replacement it might take a little time to get used to this, especially if you are used to the TI-84 design, but it is a great calculator and easy to use.
