DO NOT use the install CD that comes with the printer. The new version of the CD #CB026-10001. windows version v. 9.0.0. When I tried using the install CD provided with an HP 470 printer on April 19, 2009. (Note the same generic CD is provided and used for setting up ALL of the different HP 470 models.) The install CD caused a serious install error near the end of the install (at least it did with XP) and it will permanently disconnect ALL printers from your pc. It is an invasive error and you will have to uninstall EVERY hp installed printer driver and support software etc and then reinstall all your hp drivers and software from the HP downloads website. There is no other way to get rid of the error. You will loose most of your computer control so you can’t contact HP for help etc. I don’t know if it will affect a MAC or not. But I would not risk it. The error window constantly reappears and it will supercede all of your attempts to remove it or otherwise use your computer. Instead get the basic driver for your specific printer model of HP470 and your operating system from the official HP.com website available at their downloads page. Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the download and you will have no problems. The printer will work fine with the HP downloaded basic driver for your model and operating system.

I purchase this printer to use while on a two week working vacation.After two days of attempting to download the program into my notebook with no success I contacted HP`s web site, but their info was not helpful enough to get the program to download.At that point I had to return the printer for refund.I had to wait to return home to catch up on my paperwork.

My computer man and I tryed to set this printer up for 8 hours will still not print.HP cant even get it to print.I am very upset over this.I have only purchased HP products for over 15 years and had very good luck before this one.Sorry HP this printer is for the JUNK yard.

Wow talk about difficult to sut up for the WiFi to work. Other than that it is a good printer for what I use it for. I wish I could get the WiFi to work a lot better. I was on the phone for hours trying to get it to work.

The printer is ok for draft work but I would not want to print documents for presentation. It jams after two or three pages. I have tried different paper, but it doesn't seem to matter.
