Original stapler was replaced under warranty with an "updated" stapler. Many metal parts replaced with plastic parts. Rubber feet fell out within first few days of use. Staples would not come out when we needed to change sizes unless we smacked the stapler on a table to jarr them loose. Customer Service told me that I was "using the wrong size staples" and the stapler "was not intended for daily use", prompting me to access the manufacturers web site and read their own description of the product to the Rep I was speaking to. They were not going to replace the stapler which has a lifetime warranty until I did that. Pure junk, and I now have my doubts about other Acco/Swingline products. This stapler is pure junk, this 3rd replacement they almost did not send will be replaced by one made by another manufacturer when it breaks, probably in a few months or so.

I had a similar experience as the below review... this stapler is extremely expensive vs. similar products from other manufacturers, but I was pleased with the Swingline desktop staplers and figured it would be worth the extra cost.

This permanently jammed soon after purchase and simply takes up space in our office.

I've been a Swingline fan for over 25 years--except for THIS stapler. I've used many heavy duty staplers without a hitch--except for THIS stapler. When it does staple, which is exceptionally rare, it spits out 4-6 staples at once...keeping you busy trying to remove the extras from your papers--or jams the staples up into the machine and you have to dig them out (at least you can open the mechanism to get them out which is a good thing since you spend so much time doing that!)
I've tried several sizes of staples based on what I was stapling--so that excuse won't work.
A total disappointment from Swingline.
