On paper, this is great, but in practice it has three HUGE flaws:

--The laser is underpowered and difficult to see in anything but a dark room.
--You have to switch the mode from mouse to laser and back. You can't just press the laser button.
--The laser button is TINY and hard to reach.

Very unreliable, many presenters had trouble with the laser button being too small and hard to press. Have to push a switch to change from mouse to presentation mode. Battery life is short, we had to replace batteries every time we had a guest speaker!!! We're going to buy another and trash this one

I bought this product to use as a remote for PowerPoint presentaitons with an Epson S5 projector. I had returned the lower grade version of the remote, apparently having gotten a dud, and though I was exchanging for the same product. This one can also function as a mouse as well as a laser pointer, unlike the lesser version, which is nice is you link to other programs during your presentations. My only complaint is that the mouse function is a little slow and can be awkward at times. There are two switches on the presenter an on-off switch (which keeps you from draining the batteries) and a mouse-presenter switch. I would like the remote better if you did not have to switch back and forth between the two modes as there is little overlap between the buttons you use on the two functions. Set-up is plug and play.
