This chair was great to start, and I have owned three of them. As already stated, the seat cushion gets compressed relatively quickly. I am only 145 lbs, and the two others who use the chair are also relatively light. Additionally, the pneumatic seat adjustment has broken on two of the three and is stuck in the position in which it broke. Finally, the mesh backing has separated from the plastic frame on two of the three. Granted, these chairs have a few miles on them, but they are less than two years old. I don't like the idea of having to replace office chairs on a biannual basis...

This chair would be perfect if it had adjustable lumbar support and variable seat depth.If your seat compresses and loses its whatsy after a year or two, check your warranty. Most office chair manufacturers will replace any defective part, including the seat, at no cost to you. Contact customer support via phone or email, explain the situation, and a new seat will be delivered in days.

If you find it on sale, buy it! My local Staples had it two weeks ago for fifty bucks off retail. Reading the online reviews, I figured the seat cushion would be toast in a hurry. I weigh about 220 lbs, and the seat cushion was much less supportive within days after I bought it. I picked up a memory foam pillow for thirty bucks, and it's worked great as an additional cushion.

I have two herniated discs and telecommute 20-30 hours per week, so I needed a good chair for my home office. The local store had a floor model of a much more expensive chair on sale in my price range, but, as much as I wanted to like it, I didn't. Based on the complaints here about the seat cushion, I had all but written this chair off as a possibility, but it was the most comfortable chair in the store. I intentionally went shopping with a sore back to see which one gave me the most support.

Using the adjustable height and tilt for the seat-back, I can soothe almost any ache that develops.

Solid frame construction, highly adjustable, meets ANSI-BIFMA standards, and supportive of my ailing back. If Staples would spend another couple of dollars on resilient seat cushioning, they'd have an amazing chair, one for which this customer would be willing to pay about double what he did.

This is the most comfortable office chair I have ever used. Its comfortable for long hours of use. I recommend switching the arms -- put the right arm on the left and the left arm on the right -- so that the arms sit a little bit further back giving more support to elbow and lower arm and making for a more comfortable use of the keyboard. Once that's been done, its great!

I bought 2 of these chairs and the rubber/foam armrests on both chairs have disintegrated beyond recognition and had had to be removed. The support phone number stamped on the chair just rings and rings. Find something else.
