    It worked fine twice, then failed on the third use. On Windows 7 it is still identified correctly, but no storage is mounted, trying to get the properties of the device is very slow, and disk manager reports "no media found". Same symptom on three different computers. It looks like a mechical failure in the connection between the USB controller and the storage chip. Very annoying performance from a relatively expensive device.

      The USB Scan Disk is a little slower than the other large capacity systems. But this was compatible in
      our laptop and mainframe so could have a backup of everything on one small unit that I can take to a safety deposit box. I'm looking at buying one more so I can more easily swap them out.

            I had a virus that would not let me back up my files. I got the SanDisk Cruzer Glide 128GB USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive to back up and store files that could be later reinstalled on the computer. It holds a huge amount of files. I have a hundred plus hours of video files and it was no problem for the Cruzer. Its very simple to use: plug into usb port,choose files and where you want them to go. We are safe keeping this one at home as it has all the computers files on it. We lost a smaller one with work related files ,it fell off a key ring never to be found. The 128G is very expensive and I dont want to have replace it anytime soon. I'm pleased with the SanDisk Cruzer Glide 128GB USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive . It solved our problem quick and easy.
