The long lasting packaging tape from Staples is the best that we've found. You only have to use one piece and it holds a good adhesive. We have tried many that do not stick at all without surrounding the box.

What I really wanted was the tape you can tear without scissors. I know another brand makes this type of tape and I was hoping I could find a like tape in the 'Staples' brand. Not able to find it so far, so bought this until I can hoping it will work as well. Used to support boxes for use on shelves in garage and in my house.
