I purchased a ream of paper at the same time...I've only used about a third of the paper and yet the cartridge of ink is close to being empty.\n\nThe quality of my color prnts, however, are above average.

All ink cartridges could have a longer life in my opinion, but this lasts as long as the others. Occasionally photos appear to be slightly darker or lighter - the results don't seem consistent; however, whether this is caused by the ink or the printer or the software is unknown. I use this product VERY often with excellent results.
