I am a teacher and use my printer mainly for school work. have not had any problems at all with ink cartiages until this last purchase. It seems when I am printing it skips ink when printing a page. For example it will skip on the whole line and make all the "l" look like "i". i am not sure as to why. It could be an old box of ink.
