This is my primary printer/fax/scanner for my office department. We use it heavily and I've been very impressed with the job it does.\n\nThe only thing I wish it had is multiple-page front loading support. For example, when printing checks, you have to feed them in the front slot one at a time. The machine is smart enough to wait for the next page, but it takes quite a while.\n\nOther than that issue, I highly reccomend this machine. The scan quality is excellent, the fax quality is as good as it can be and printing is just great!\n\nAlso, I'd like to add that for the first time, ever, I like the Canon printer software! It does an excellent job at allowing you to fax from your machine, add in cover-pages and anything else you would want to do copy/scan/print-wise.\n\nOver, for around $100 (after rebate) this machine is a steal!

This is a great printer and a great value. We have owned one at home for more than a year. We had no problem networking it between our PC and two laptops. I am a teacher and about to buy another one for my classroom. It is a little bulky, but overall a great printer.

The product is listed as a networkable multifunction device. However the only option that Canon recommends is a print server that costs as much as the printer. The lack of Linux compatibility limits the devices that can network with it. It does provide print and fax functions using an old computer as a server. My wife likes the fax and copy functions so for now it stays

i use it for school and personal use...some times to fax resumes. i had a brothers before but i like this one better.\ni will buy one for my parents later. it was cheap too.
