I bought this printer based on the reviews and price. I did research the product including having to learn about the differences in a laser and inkjet printer. I haven't had it long, but I am happy so far. Right now it is in a room that has a lot of electronics running on one circuit breaker so it does seem to be drawing a lot of power. I will be moving it in the next week to a more central location and will see if this will improve. It is being used in a home office situation. Still I am very happy with this printer so far!

[...]. This is unheard of in a laser printer with high quality document output and 23 pages per minute. Unlike my old Konica 1350w printer it is also 64 bit compatible and Brother supports its printers with updated drivers. I also have a Brother DCP 7020 for years with faithful service.

Established a small workspace for wife's new Vista PC. She had been using an ancient dot matrix printer which was fed one sheet at a time, this is nice by comparison. Seems good, no experience with toner usage yet however. Have set on medium, good for every day work = clear printing easy to read. I've had so-so luck with Brother Fax machines, but got a great deal on this laser printer so thought I would give it a chance. First choice was the Samsung but deal was better on this one. I needed the total cost including the desk project, printer and computer to come in under $450.
