Very nice for home and small office use. It was easy to set up on home wireless router. black & white scanning to PDF is very fast, good quality, and easy to do. very happy thus far (have had for about 10 days).

Software installation was difficult. Do not attempt to think you know what to do to install the software. DO NOTHING until prompted. I plugged in my USB cable prior to installation & could not get the software to download. Ended up paying $40 to install the program(& do exactly what I had) except the installer waited until prompted to plug in USB cable. ARG!!!

When it works it works, but watch just when you need it, it fails completely. After 687 copies the gear drive stripped, LED malfunctioned & nothing would work. It took 6 phone calls to Brother, total time on the phone about 2:45 min. 4 calls to a service center, about 45 min. Brother diagnosed this over the phone 4 of the 6 calls all with the same results & no answer. I fail to understand why after 1 call this machine was not replaced under warranty. Each call started the same drawn out procedure over even though it was noted from the prior call. My last inflamed call to Brother, they agreed to replace the machine with no questions. I have owned several Brother products & never a service issue like this. The only reason for not throwing this machine in the trash was due to the fact I purchased 3 toner cartridges with it & only used 96% of one. I expect the same results from the replacement & Brother service. I will not purchase another Brother product at any price.
The authorized Brother Service Center was very pleasant, helpful & responsible but advised to deal direct with Brother because of time issues regarding obtaining replacement parts.

We have a auto repair shop and there is alot of estimates to print and invoices , we have to have a all-in-one machine that can handle all of our paperwork, our new Brother all-in-one is great, I can print, copy, and fax without using 3 different machines.
