I use colored markers to code information for qualitative data analysis. The case, while a bit fickle, makes it easy to quickly choose different colors without a mess of markers on my desk. I love the fine line triplus for writing, these are best for coding, generating draft diagrams, marking text, etc.\n\nAnd they are useful to occupy a kid stuck in a grown up meeting -- a real plus for clients when you can entertain their kid and keep a meeting going.

This is the third set I have ordered because people keep swiping them off my desk. The variety of colors helps when trying to make things easy to sort. The barrel is triangle shaped so they don't roll off your desk like regular pens and pencils.

I use these for medical school, they do not go through the pages of the review books that I write in. I also use the yellow for underlining in reference texts that have very thin pages. The ink dries semi fast, but as a lefty I have definitely smeared my writing countless times. The point wears down on my favorite pens in about two weeks, the ink is not out but the felt top is gone. I would definitely recommend these pens for people with a lighter hand than myself.
