The first Mars eraser I used was left in my desk by the previous secretary and I quickly discovered a number of uses other than erasing pencil marks. It took rubber cement off of the edge of a desk, shoe marks off of floors and walls, etc. I was delighted when I found them at Staples and have shared them with my sisters, mother, son and daughter.

I'm an old-school pencil man, and a harsh judge of my stationary products. This is the best d--- eraser I've ever used. I've been using them for years and, for what I do, I see no reason to ever buy any other type of eraser ever again.

The best eraser in the world...Made in Germany, this is the absolute best you can get. Forget Sanford MagicRub, or even the popular Pink Pearl, compared to this one they arent even close!
This eraser is used heavily by me in the drafting class, I actually found mine sitting on my desk. I have not gotten a single point off of any of my papers because of stray marks on my vellum. I use it in all of my other classes as well, including English, where neatness is very important. However, there are 2 things that are expected for this eraser but I should list them anyway, 1) it can't get into the smallest spaces (I would recommend Pentel Clic Eraser for this) and 2) the wrapper starts to tear when you erase for a long time. But, if you are ever in need of an eraser and can't decide which one you want, BUY THIS ONE, DO NOT HESITATE!!!

As both a student and a teacher, I use this eraser simply because it does the job and it does it very well. It erases clean and does not waste down as easily as other erasers.
