The plastic hole protectors are useful for reinforcing holes in documents you use frequently. They're much more durable than the paper ones I used to use. I've used them to repair my 1970s Betty Crocker cookbook, which is in a 3-ring binder. The reinforcers "pop up" and peel themselves off the backing tape as you pull them through the dispenser, which is handy.
