I didn't realize that if you don't first create a folder to put your files into, they go into a "root" location (folder, directory? I forget what she called it). I had been trying to copy files of photos well within the capacity of the drive, but it kept shutting off at some point. I didn't want to give up, so I tried the online help from rep (see above). She had me call Staples Brand Group, and after some (free) help from them, I got mine to work perfectly. I'm very satisfied!

Works great - no problems using it at all. It is more durable than most of the competition. Does not include fancy apps that try to "help" you back up - and I like it better that way.

Received one from my agency to keep files in, worked fine for about a day or two and hasn't worked since. I have lost access to all of my files. I am keeping as I hope I'm somehow able to retreive the valuable files that are within it.
