I have two identical units. I use one to provide backup power to my DSL modem and wireless router.\n\nI use the 2nd unit to provide backup power to PC and 2 side-by-side LCD monitors.\n\nMeasuring current draw I figure that would give be an hour to either last through a very short power outage or just plenty of time to close my programs and shutdown my PC during a power outage.

Main purpose of the UPS is to provide PC's and its necessary peripherals with CONSTANT flow of power. I purchased this UPS to keep our internet connection "live" and my boss from hitting the button a million times to connect to the Internet. The connection was constantly going out - our modem kept lossing power. Even the cable guy did not know why the modem kept losing it. Once I connected this battery our modem never lost its lights. I connected 1 laptop, 1 pc, 1 monitor, 1 modem, 1 router, 1 subwoofer, and my boss's iPod and Cell Phone, there is still room for more. Someone always momentarilly diconnects power to the office by an accident and the laptop and the PC never lose power. We get a message when we are running on the battery power. My boss is now happy (that's all that matters). Our office network does not suffer any longer. Power surges as well as brownouts are the reasons our PC's go dead sooner than later (business and home).
