The design is wonderful. Love the seperate freezer section. The lower half does not keep food cold enough. Checked it with a refrigerator thermometer and temp was just 50 degrees - most refrigerators are at 40 degrees which is a good cold setting. If you raise setting to hightest setting it freezes food and drinks in lower half. Setting knob controls both freezer and lower half. Would be a wonderful small refrigerator if it kept food cold enough without freezing it, so I can't recommend it. After just 6 months we will be looking at a replacement which is a shame since we had our old one for many years.

A vast improvement over the box-type, no- or integrated-freezer refrigerators common in dorm rooms, that barely keep sodas cool. With its separate freezer, this is the only refrig in the dorm that keeps ice cream solid, and the separate door for the freezer also makes it easier to store and find things, and more energy efficient. On the other hand, it's too noisy for a small dorm room. Lots of gurgling. Let's see more of these from manufacturers, and let the quietest one win.

Perfect for the college dorm room. We love the \nseperate freezer section, and that the freezer\nwas bigger than other similiar units.

I loved the design, having two separate compartments for the refridgerator and freezer. Unfortunately the unit broke, and would not cool down. This happened within one (1) month after the warranty period ended. There is a reason why it is only covered for three (3) months. \n\nWhen I called the manufacturer they said I had to ship it to them, at my cost. It is not worth it since it would have cost over $100 anyways. \n\nBe safe and buy from a trusted and well-known brand!!!
