My son was having trouble with his fine motor skills. When we found these pencils, it was a big help! His school is even using them for first grade. I love them,also. It even helps my writing. Yes, you can't use an electric sharpener. You know, it does not take long to use a hand held one. You can use Staple duo sharpener on these pencils.

Best pencil ever used, altho would prefer it to be offered in standard size/diameter thus easier to sharpen.

Writing with a regular pencil hurts my hand, but with this pencil my hand doesn't get so tired. The surface is easy to grip and the triangular shape is very comfortable.

Since I have found these pencils we use nothing else in our house. Everyone who comes over and uses them falls in love with them too! They are unbelievably comfortable, write very smoothly, erase without tearing the paper and come with an easy-to-use German made sharpener that doesn't eat up your pencil like a traditional "school-type" sharpener. Fantastic design! Non-slip triangular shape with a larger barrel makes for a fine pencil to use hours on end. So what if it's too big for a standard electric pencil sharpener? Get an old-school manual one with multiple sizes. The cedar barrel and good lead makes this impossible to oversharpen and lead just doesn't break. Price is really good as well.
