ADORE these pencils - the only draw-back is that the lead (entire length of pencil) breaks easy if the pencils, even in their case, are dropped. I love their beautiful colors that lay down smoothly with little effort. I initially only bought them as I had a coupon - but have been back for 3 more various Prisma sets - won't buy another brand again, even for my little ones!

This is a great product and I love using all Prismacolor products but it's just that it breaks easily if you don't have the right sharpener. I would recommend using the Prismacolor sharpener or the Staedtler metal sharpeners
