I bought this LCD, one for the price, two for the size. I was hoping it could be calibrated using my EyeOne calibration kit, and it did just fine! It would be nice for it too be a bit higher res, but for the price it works fine.

I bought this to act as my personal monitor, which I use mostly for web browsing and HDTV TV watching. It was to replace a Dell 19" Ultrasharp monitor (1905FP).\n\nWhen I started it up, the color was way off. There was a blue tinge to everything. I tried to adjust it using the video card, but couldn't get it right.\n\nThe second thing is that the picture just wasn't anywhere near as sharp as I expected. When I watch HDTV on my other monitor, I always notice how sharp and clear the picture is. On this monitor, it seems like I've gone back to regular TV.\n\nFinally, when I watch HD video, there are some discontinuities in the picture, a horizontal line where you can see the picture above and below are slightly off.\n\nI thought about keeping this as a cheap extra monitor for word processing or browsing, but I've decided to take it back and get a quality product.

Can not believe the picture quality and the sale price of [$] was a real surprise - the smaller dot pitch seems to make a difference.

This is a superb monitor for the price. I've owned LCDs by Samsung, Planar, Mag Innovision, Hanns-G, and others, and this ranks among the best I've used. Bright, sharp, very clear picture. Occasionally seems just slightly washed-out, so I may run a calibration utility, just to make sure it's adjusted optimally. I purchased this because I needed a monitor that was HDCP compliant, and this fits the bill. And there was no beating the sale price when I bought this one.
