Fine basic printer. It seems printer life these days is 2 to 3 years based on my experience with Epson products. Prints legibly if perhaps a little too grayed out on draft mode; quite nicely on basic text mode. Does NOT have automatic double-sided printing: must take paper out and feed through again, but the software does make it easy (no more figuring out which way to turn the paper, if you have to reverse the page order after printing the first side, etc). All around reasonable printer if you want to only spend fifty or less.

Will not feed business card stock or heavy weight paper - Only after seeking help from Epson cust serv did I learn that 12 mil (however thick that is, paper is measured in lbs!), which keeps me from printing business cards and greeting cards!

I purchased my WorkForce 30 as a second printer, primarily for envelopes. I find myself using it more and more now for black and white printing.

I do not recommend the WorkForce 30 for photos. They seem to be dark and muddy - not acceptable.
