My husband and I are in our 70's and not as mobile as we would like; hence, the need for additional handsets. One gripe: I miss not being able to assign numbers 0-9to separate telephone numbers of friends, relatives, doctors, et al. for fast dialing instead of having to go through an entire directory.

It is great to have two phones using only one jack (that is also being use for the PC). Granted, the corded limits mobility, but on the plus side, we always know where the phone is. It has not been tested yet, but the battery backup is the reason I chose the corded/cordless.

The features are extensive, flexible and sensible. I have found the phone to be just what we wanted. The only thing I wish is that it had a longer range, but it is perfectly sufficient for the house and 35 feet around it, or so.
