This is a fantastic monitor for the money. I upgraded from a 22" only because I had to pass my computer system on to someone else at work, but wow this V7 really is noticeable larger and nicer. It has 1920x1200 resolution, so you should get a great picture with either a DVD or blue-ray player if your computer is so equipped, but I just use it for basic office tasks. The rotating ability is cool, but honestly not very useful unless you're doing some print-form desktop publishing. The 2ms refresh rate is excellent, as are the colors, brightness and contrast. The built-in speakers are about what you'd expect, but fine for the office. The monitor has HDMI and standard d-sub inputs, and includes a cable that lets you connect the HMDI input to the DVI output on a computer. This works perfectly. You'd be surprised how often such large screen real estate is useful in looking at spreadsheets, tables, or having two documents open side by side. The only reason I gave it four and not five stars is the speaker quality is just mediocre. I have only good things to say about the image quality.

Looks like an expensive monitor. Excellent stand adjusts in every way you could desire which is not typical of inexpensive monitors. Nice controls are located in front within easy reach and are easy to use. The monitor is well built, uses attractive high quality plastic and did I mention the great stand? The fatal flaw? Viewing angle. It has a vertical viewing angle of only a couple of inches before the color, contrast and brightness change significantly. It appears as though the trade off for all of it's great features was to use a TN six bit panel rather than a quality eight bit panel. For my use it is a fatal flaw in an otherwise fine monitor.

This thing is great! I play a lot of World of Warcraft on this and it rocks!! I have it connected to my XPS m1710 laptop and wow what a difference! Going from a 17" laptop screen to this is amazing. When playing Warcraft the sense of motion is incredible. I have only had this monitor for a couple days, but so far, no dead/stuck pixels and everything is running great! The 250nit display is plenty bright, don't let the spec hounds fool you! I have shown this monitor to another couple people and they are floored by it! Highly recommended!

I bought two of these monitors to replace 20" Apple Cinema Diplays. This V7 monitor was a snap to set up with my new computer. I just plugged in the power cord, and used the included DVI-to-HDMI cord. The monitors instantly recognized the input signal, and fired right up. \n\nThe adjustability is a big plus on this monitor. They are easy to adjust - orientation, angle and height all move easily. \n\nThe image quality of these displays is fantastic. They are sharp and the color is excellent. I spend a lot of my day sitting in front of the computer in my home office. I also find that the black bezel is easier on my eyes than the chrome of my previous display.\n\nFYI, I also tried this monitor hooked up the HDMI output of my PS3, and it worked great with that also.
